Well I stayed in Edwards last night. I did not take a shower or get cleaned up very well. I used bottled water and baby wipes. The water was yellowed at the motel...I just didn't want to use it. The bed was clean...that was more important. ZZZZ!
Woke up at 4:30..layed in bed till 5:30. I got up and checked my tires I fixed last night...and yes they were flat. So I fixed them both again...thank you Lord for keeping me supplied in repair kits. Now I have to get another kit for later. Luckily...no flats today. Thank you Jesus!
The beginning of the journey took me through the town. It looked to be a poor area...but everyone I met was friendly towards me and that was all that mattered.
As I got out of town..old route 80 got narrower and unkept as compared to the rest of 80 I have walked. Non the less it was a nice quiet walk. Not much traffic, but lots of long hills to climb today. Wore my chicken legs right out...lol! After about 12 miles or so as I neared Vicksburg the traffic picked up and I had no shoulders at all. It was a little frustrating at times...but just thank God for watching over me and getting me here safely. As the day went on I noticed the clouds were building and at times was pretty windy. I knew bad weather was coming so I decided to stop on this side of town for the night. I went to McAllister's Deli for lunch and while there it started raining and the wind picked up pretty good. After eating there I stopped across the street at Wendy's for a burger and fries for later. Guess what I found out...Duh..rain and paper bags don't mix very well. Needless to say the bottom fell out of the bag and $6.50's worth of food hit the ground. Lesson learned, silly me! Oatmeal it will be for dinner.
While walking I noticed a sign that named a part of 80 as the Andrew "Sugerman" Daniel Highway. So I googled it. Here is a link with a story about him. http://m.wapt.com/news/sugarman-honored-for-saving-lives-following-bridge-disaster/25138472
Hello it's me again Margaret! I love the pretty little flowers today! Did I tell you how much I love flowers? Clear Creek wasn't so clear. The first bridge reminded me of the Pennington Bridge, but they changed the bridge in Pennington now. The road looked awful. I like the pretty pink in the first picture . Sorry about your dinner. Did you call the guy? Hope you have a nice rest. I didn't get a chance to call Baby Tend today, so I will tomorrow.

Hey Mike, I am afraid that Margaret is my clone....The love of flowers, reading my thoughts like the comment about the creek not being clear. hmmmm she beats me to it everyday. Hmmm Margaret I grew up in Titusville, have many relatives in area, perhaps I know you lol. I find it amazing someone still puts flowers at the base of that sign, 1939, that's a lot of devotion. Ok later, hoping I will find out more tomorrow. Wish me luck, and PLEASE STAY SAFE. I am a bit worried about you and your weather now.
