Day 36 Only 13 miles today. Toomsuba, Mississippi to Meridian

As you all know I had to spend the night in a truck stop last night. I got about an hours sleep at the table. Unable to put my feet up or take my shoes and socks off...my feet stayed swollen. So when I headed out this morning I already started off on a bad foot...no pun intended. As I was walking the bottom of my foot developed  a pressure sore then the start of a blister. I am glad it was only 13 miles today. Other than the feet, the walk was a good one. It was quite hilly in several spots though and as the day went on it started getting gusty. It felt good though as the sun was starting to get hot. When I started out in the morning it was 50 degrees and quickly started warming up. Several people at the truck stop had commented on my sign..saying it was a great cause and appreciated what I was doing. One of the workers commented that she had suffered from a mental health issue, but is now doing well and is going to school to be a social worker. I think that is great and when you get involved in helping others, it helps in dealing with your own problems. That's about all that happened today...already soaked my legs...just going to relax the rest of the day and night. Tomorrow will be a long walk again. :-)

I JUST FEEL THE URGE TO WALK!
