Hello everyone...I sure hope you all remember me! I know I have been gone a few days..and I really...really missed it..missed it! As most of you know my wife came down and met me in Montgomery and we have spent 4 days together. One was spent re-doing my cart set up so I can carry some more food and water. Then as we moved from hotel to hotel my tires went flat twice. The last time was today...and it wasn't repairable. So I had to buy new tubes. My younger sister, Gracie ordered some foam tubes for me so I won't have to worry about flats anymore, but I have to wait until they are shipped to me somewhere down the road. Then my other sister, Missy Coco sent some natural organic nut butters. She shipped them to Selma so I'd have them for the rest of my journey. And my brother Greg and sister Sharon have contributed money to help me out on my walk. And it goes without saying, my wife, my daughters and their husbands, and my Grandchildren have also been very supportive and helpful to me. What a blessing to have such a great family and that includes all my cuzzins (you too Rose). I am blessed again with such great friends and the wonderful people I have met along the way for their much appreciated support! GOD HAS TRULY BEEN GOOD TO ME! And a special thanks to my close friends Tim and Rose who have contributed to my journey and told me enough already, get walking again, lol, thanks for the push! And Bronze James for his help, friendship and support! Love you guys!
Now, because of a strange uneasy feeling I had and couldn't shake and the thought of walking from Montgomery to Selma and then Selma to Demopolis with nothing in between the towns and that uneasy feeling, after much prayer and meditation, I decided to resume my walk from Demopolis. I struggled with the idea of not walking the whole route, but after praying about it and not being able to shake the uneasy feeling, I feel God was telling me not to be vain insisting on walking out of pride and to follow my instincts. When God speaks to you, you better listen!
So hopefully if all goes well...I'll be on the move again in the morning and entering Mississippi within the next couple of days! It was nice to have the visit with my wife and to have her help with what I needed to do and to do what needed to be done to continue on, Thank You Dear, Love and blessings!
While we were in Selma, I took some pictures of the memorial sight at the bridge where Bloody Sunday took place. There is so much history in the deep south and so many great historical buildings with wonderful architecture there, one could spend days in many of the towns visiting and taking pictures of the great sights!
Hello it's me again Margaret! Do what you need to do for you, keep up the prayers, and continue to bless people with your message. God has a plan for you, and it is even greater than you can humanly imagine. God did not say that the plan would not include trials and tribulations, but that the Glory would be there! You are a light for the world shinning down and sharing a wonderful message of hope for so many in despair. Trials and tribulations will build endurance! Keep up the good work, Love and Blessings!
